Our family’s journey with our child’s disability has been both a challenging and transformative experience. Amidst the uncertainty, we were fortunate to discover Edmund Rice Centre Nairobi that not only provided crucial support but also became a beacon of hope for our child’s future. Perhaps one of the most remarkable aspects of our experience with the disability Centre  was witnessing our child’s growth and development.

Our journey with the Edmund Rice Centre Nairobi began when my child joined the disability program. What started as a search for help turned into a partnership that transformed not only my family but our entire community. As a parent and local leader, I’ve seen firsthand how the Centre builds confidence in children and restores hope in parents. Beyond supporting our child’s growth, it has inspired me to mobilize other families to believe that inclusion is possible and that every child, regardless of ability, has a place and purpose in society.

I joined Edmund Rice Centre Nairobi as a shy learner with little confidence. With time, I discovered my abilities and learned valuable life skills. Graduating from the Centre opened new doors for me. Today, I use what I learned to inspire others and prove that disability is not inability.
